The 1990 model had a small plastic overflow bottle to catch the gas during a roll over, then when you had the Pilot back on 4 wheels the gas it collected drained out on the ground. There is probably a picture some place here on the site, its shown in the 1990 service manual.
The two black tubes are vents the two clear tubes are vent tubes. Ensure they are clean on the inside, flush with carb cleaner and compressed air.

https://www.pilotodyssey.com/PO/viewtop ... 00#p177700Look in the tank see if there is any rust or gunk in the bottom. Tank has a train on it, carefull removing might be rusted in, soak it good with PB Blaster for 24 hrs before removing.
Remove the fuel filter, fill it with gas, put your thumb and finger over the openings and shake it up good. Pour the gas out on white paper towels so we can see what comes out. You want to drain the filter from the INLET side. If the plastic on the filter is good and not cracking back flush it with carb cleaner until nothing comes out. It might sound hillbilly but I use to back flush once a season never had to change a filter. Honda made a QUALITY filter I never seen dirt in the float bowl.
Carb needs removed and the float bowl removed, same deal PB Blaster around the screws top and bottom, soak 24hrs before removing.
If you find a lot of varnish in the fuel system you need to flush all the fuel lines and blow them out with compressed air.
If there is a lot of dirt or rust in the gas tank flush it best you can and install a aftermarket filter in place of the stock filter for the first tank then switch back to the Honda filter. Every 3-4 gallons of gas through the tank remove the filter and back flush see if your finding anything.
