I took the expansion chamber (stock) off of my Pilot and if I give it a good shake I can hear something banging around in there. It sounds way to substantial to simply be some carbon buildup. Is this thing toast?

Thanks

I bet the expanded metal inside has come lose, the inside of the stock pipe has insulation that is covered with expanded metal to make the pipe and Engine quiet . heat cycles, vibration, moisture and the Engine pulse all take their toll on any pipe, I would replace it with a after market pipe myself.
