I don't think ZC was thinking the comment was meant to be negative, I think it was more a combination of ribbing you, agreeing with you on it being "Crazy Nutso Kinda Thang" and what he would have done. written words don't always come off the same way it would if sitting around the campfire.
personally, glad you shared, it's great to see this.

This Engine build doesn’t suck, its cool actually. But it’s excessive. There’s such thing as over-renovating in real estate and I refer to that here. I know you are not building classic cars for show - you race them and they get used up and rebuilt. Once you run this Engine, it will just be another used motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )).

I rebuilt a pretty cool FL350r to showroom two years ago took it to car shows and won trophies and whatnot... but the machine to me was not useful for dirt due to long hours of work, cleaning, etc. It was what I called a head turning trailer queen. Spent too much to build it and when it was done I didn’t want it to get dirty. I’d rather have a scratched up, beat up machine that I don’t mind gets brushed up, beat up, and still gets going. The heartfelt loss of something prestine really hurts as it did my old Fl350r and so I had to let that one go.

We’re not a classic car forum here. If this we’re like a 1960s stingray then sure let the frame-ons begin... just me I’d rather get down and dirty without much fear of blowing my motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) which has given me years of service (abuse) without batting an eye.

This Engine build for me is like a fine whisky. Its meant to displayed proudly enjoyed and shared along with a good story or two. Maybe at some point I can get me a sip of it. It is like lost brew come to life. I say not only display it, make a gig to have the new pipe put on it as well. Any body got a wrecked frame he can put it in then cut it out of the frame for display. Maybe even have it chromed. Now for what clutch and intake system to put on it ???????
