Loud squeak almost sounds like a ring catching something in the cylinder or an air noise possible head gasket i don't know definite squeak during shutdown and start no noise when running or pull cord slowly?? I Did a compression test 185 psi. Just bought this pilot supposedly it was A fresh motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) that has been ported. Guy told me to run race fuel with 93 5050 mix. I've been running straight VP 112 with castor 927 32;1 just to be on the safe side with the high comp. Any advice would be greatly appreciated newbie to this forum. I was also wondering if hoser was still out there, the guy i puchased from said he built the Engine.

Can you post a video so that we can hear the sound the Engine is making? Or a link to YouTube of the video will work too. This will help members hear the problem and give some insight as to what the problem might be

not related to your squeak, are you running the same oil mix as the previous owner? if he was running say 50:1 then by running 32:1 you are running leaner on your air fuel mixture

I second that previous owner telling you to run 50/50 mix.
If you run pump gas with that kind of compression it's gona be all over.

"Squeak" could be the drive belt or the clutch.
I run an fl350 and my 102c squeaks when I wind it up or when it comes down. I think the belt hangs a bit during these wind ups and downs. It only makes one squeak, not continuous.
Just suggestions.
