It took 45min at the "free" St. Joes wash area and another 1 1/2hrs here at home. Did I mention I hate the mud?

A/C....maybe next year, we'll see. :shock:

Did you get any mud in your face thrown threw that gap between the fire wall and the hood? I havent been in mud yet but ate plenty of snow, dust and rocks, been in the snow since I filled the gaps and its 100% better.

I beleive its "free" because of all the lead in the tailings. i'm not sure but i beleive they had to put that wash area in.

Tom - Have you considered a wiper motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) set up from an older Jeep CJ? They're compact and should be easy enough to pull from the back of a windshield in a junk yard.

Yes, that is the one that I am speaking of. It's a replacement style motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) for the jeeps and other old cars/trucks.

Most in the junk yards are just that...junk and they wanted the same price as new. Here are a couple links,

OK - Also look up Rhino and RZR wiper kits...they're on eBay and other suppliers for about $150. Are you going to mount on the top or the bottom of the windshield?

Updates?

Have you taken yours out for a top speed run to see what yours will do?

Mine with the windshield on will only hit about 58 mph running down the bean field, hard pack dirt, that's holding it WOT (Wide Open Throttle) for over a mile, that's going with the slight breeze going the other way max speed was 54 mph.

I finally got my wiper motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) bought. I got an 08 Ford Escape rear wiper motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) (smallest I could find that was 180 degrees.) with the arm and wiper for 32 bux off e-bay. When it shows up I'll finish the front panel and then get it painted.

Other than that just trying to heal my poor worn body.

Dude, I am DIGGING this project! I don't have a RZR or any desire to own one, but that is beside my point. The fact is that you bought the tools specifically for this project, and yielded something as spectacular as you did is great! I tend to lean to the more "RedNeck Engineering" using zip-ties and bailin wire....but hey those get you through in a pinch. :-) I'm working on my fab skill slowly and well slowly haha.

Just felt I should chime in and give you two thumbs up!

Even though we have never met I will take that as a HUGE compliment. As I have stated before it was a really fun project. I hope a get a chance to build some for others as my creative juices have been flowing! I've been having sellers remorse ever since selling the Drakart......I'm thinking about building a single seat car. If I could only find a plan close to the Drak's........

No updates....I sold it about a year and a half ago. Couldn't find anyone to ride with local and was tired of playing with myself.
