http://www.pilotodyssey.com/GPS/Vicksberg%20All.htmlVicksburg area has the best desert-mountain trail system I have seen yet, a dense concentration of trails and old mines, the whole mountain range looks like someone gave a guy a bull dozer and about a year told him to go make as many trails as you can then when he finished they told him you can do better so go do it again and he did. I rode trails from north of the mountain range all the way south to interstate 10 then checked out the trails south of I 10 trails their too just not as dense. I rode from west of Vicksburg to east of salome, met a guy on the trail who said their also good trails by Wickenburg AZ I will try their next.
Getting their is easy I was coming from Parker AZ its only about 43 miles from Parker and about 45 minutes, I went south on 95 to Rt72 then I took Rt 72 West it takes you to Bouse AZ also a great area to ride, at the West end of Bouse right on 72 their is a camp ground that has a dump station that is FREE if you top off your propane tank and they have the cheapest propane in a 50 mile area, its only 10 bux to dump and fill your water tank if you don't need propane, anyways continue West on 72 until you go across the Arizona Canal you go about another 1-2 miles and you get to Vicksburg road, TURN LEFT go across the railroad tracks then take your first RIGHT TURN its a gravel road park, camp any place on the LEFT side I was told the RIGHT side is private land but the left is BLM land.
I will return to this place I bet their is 800 miles of trails in this area I also bet their is interconnecting trails that take you to Wickenburg AZ
Consider riding in the Bouse area while your in this area.
