In early April Ed of EEE passed away. His son and nephew saw one of the EEE pages on FB and contacted one of the moderators. Long story short we were able to get Rusty to head down to Romana and pick up some cool stuff. Not a lot of parts per se but a lot of drawings and info associated with the buggies over the years. Ed had gone from the buggies to Dwarf car Racing and them finally late models with his grandson driving. I’ll Post some pictures.

The last generation of stadium/outdoor cars were called Superlite 14.
The desert cars he was building were called Desert Superlite 77. They ran open diffs, sled engines and were 7” longer.

WOW !
Let me say that again WOW !!

Love that stack of papers.
Bet that's a lot of interesting reading.
Those axles are brand new and still have the wax ends on them. Nice score.
The groove at the end of the axles appear to be snap ring grooves to hold it.

That steering rack looks like it would be relatively easy to replicate.

The axles are odd though. Not like any of the later
Model buggies. They are about 25 inches long I believe but the ends are completely different

That picture of the short spline with the snap ring groove screams Lobro joint to me.
I had that kind of set up on my formula race car trans axle.

The spline count and size is different from
End to end.
This is the short end with the lip

He did build a Gen 3 eee with pilot trans and steering column.
Maybe this is a inner for a pilot trans and an outer for a type 4

So it seems to me that the transmission had a Lobro joint (short end) and the rear uprights (long end) had a completely different spline count and dimensions.

That pile of papers you got is a life time of invaluable information from a great builder.
Now you just have to buy a machine shop so you can replicate that stuff Bob.

I've been copying and paste all those pics to a folder on my computer.
Thx for sharing.
I wish I wasn't so old now.
