Robby Gordon is bringing back the Old Stadium Off Road racing. As of now they have a Truck Class, Polaris RZR class, Buggy class and Monster Trucks. Maybe if we get enough people together we can run too or run with the RZR's

Ok man this is the big one. I have made some calls to some racers. Lets try for 20 cars strong. Slickrick and I are in. My sons is a go as well. Come one come all Lets start this list of drivers and vehicle. Remember start to buy your safty stuff. Fire suit, helmet, seat belts and window nets. If we go in as a big group and organized we will have a better chance of getting our own class.

Before you even ask to race get a copy of the tech rule book you have to know exactly how they are going to inspect you.

Be nice to see stadium lite racing again.

Lets try to get a name of people to give a true list to them before spending money on safety gear. lets make sure we can run this series. Then, like Hoser said, get a list of requirements.
Since the series is in a very early stage of planning, if we show that we have a big car count and can put on a good show they would definitely consider letting us run

I know Steve with the Silver Briggs car is in. He posted this on a different forum. He was at the coliseum for the announcement.

Count me in
1 Briggs car
1 pilot 500
This is what we've been waiting for. Now we just need confirmation on wether they will let us run.

If they use the old MT rules I doubt any Pilot or Odyssey will pass tech things like the gas tank the roll cage fenders , tires and rims all need addressed.

Looking like a decent list of cars so far. I am also working with a guy that runs "The Dirt Series" that races quads, Dirtbikes and UTV's. He has a race at Milestone tonight, But I found out to late about it and I race the Lucas Oil Race at Lake Elsinore next weekend. The guy from the dirt series and I will talk next week about what safety rules he requires. Here is his list of races.

•Rd 1- May 20th Cahuilla Creek, Anza, CA. **Moto Format**
•Rd 2- Jun 2nd Milestone MX, Riverside, CA. **Moto Format**
•Rd 3- Jun 24th Pala Raceway, Pala, CA. **Moto Format**
•Rd 4- Jul 8th Competitive Edge, Hesperia, CA. **Moto Format**
•Rd 5- TBA
•Rd 6- Sept 2nd Route 66 Motorplex(Stadium Race), San Bernardino, CA. **Moto Format**
•Rd 7- Sept 23rd Cahuilla Creek, Anza, CA. **Moto Format**
•Rd 8- Oct 11, 12, 13 & 14th Rattlesnake, Colton, CA. **GP Format**
•Series banquet- Sunday Oct 14th Rattlesnake, Colton, CA

I am interisted but as always it depends on cost regarding rules and requirements. Not getting my hopes up too fast.

The Robby Gordon thing is going to be big so I could only imagine them requiring everything Lucas Oil and Traxxas Torc require ( SA-Helmets, Firesuits, Head and Neck Restraints, Fuel Cells, etc) Plus it is going to require more traveling if you plan to run the series and not just a few races. This smaller SoCal series sounds like he will work with us to get more cars out and Entry fees are only $50

I just got off the phone with the promoter and he will work with us as far as what class to run in. They have a 700CC, 850CC and 1000CC. I told him we can run whatever class he wants. The requirements are, Window nets, One pice Fire Suits, SA or M rated helmet so motorcylcle helmets are ok, and a fire extinguisher where the driver can reach it. He also mentioned 5 point seat belts so some of the Pilots might need to update that. There are a lot of discount firesuit places like Racequip, Speedway motors, Jegs, Summit so you should be able to get the safety gear for pretty cheap.

I should make the July race and Sep race

from what i;m reading in the robby gordon link, there won't be anyone bringing their own cars and trucks or UTV's... it's an invite only and you race a different spec;ed truck each race???
