Shoubadaba, his cousin and I did a quick Glamis trip last weekend. Met up with Jordanhiggins and a few other friends that happened to be there. We just took his rig and my RZR and his RZR. Had fun. Here are a few videos.

Yup, made in Mexico. Polaris was doing their “Camp Polaris” thing with displays, vendors, and sales pitches. I was looking over a new 1000 and a salesman approached me. He said, “What’s it going to take to get me in the seat of one of these?” So I said, “Give it to me for free!” He jokingly said OK and then started in on his sales pitch. I said, “Ya know, for one they are ridiculously priced and are way out of my price range, and for another, Polaris is supposed to be an American company, but these things aren’t made in America.” The salesman looked confused, surprised to hear that someone knew they aren’t built in America. He must have realized there was no sale, so he walked away. As we walked off, I shouted out, “MADE IN MEXICO!!!” Shoubadaba and his cousin laughed LOL.

that's why I annoyed you guys with the mexican flag and bothered to reply I don't think others realize they use to be made in the USA and they moved the American jobs to mexico .

Yeah, I am well aware of the move. I am sure many people at the Polaris gathering are not. Mine didn't have a flag on it, I am wondering if it just got peeled off or something along the way. I bought mine brand new from a dealer too. Strange.

Man I'm jealous of you guys!

4 seater looks like a clown car!

White one is cool.

The 4 seater looked better in person. Think I got a strange camera angle or something.

No its not the angle, its me, I just don't like them.

yea, don't mention that you no longer own a pilot Nick. once, way back, before the dark days of side by sides, we had posed for a picture, at Dumont dunes with 13 pilots and oddy's in one camp. I guess you cant go back. Not sure if I'm holding on to my pilot. But all be damn if I'm giving up all my 250r's. Hum----am I showing signs of acrimonious behavior as I advance in age?

California people -- where is your favorite dunes? Which one is the least crowded?

Have never sand ridden before, I live up in the Sierras and just have never made it down to the sand.

I’m from Nevada, but I like Dumont. It is very crowded now on big weekends. If you go to Utah I recommend the Coral Pink sand dunes. Elevation is around 6000 ft I believe and the dunes are excellent. Lots of trails through the pines trees.

I am big on no crouds. If I ever go it will be during the week. In terms of size and layout, which do you prefer? Have you been to the big 3 in California?

I haven’t been to Glamis or pismo. Nick who started this thread goes to all 3. Those guys all have razors now that’s why they aren’t here anymore. If you like tall, fast dunes them dumont is your ticket. Don’t go im the summer, miserable hot. Coral Pink has short steep dunes. Lot more trails to ride at Coral Pink and they weather is nicer. If you like trail riding they sell maps and you can do that for days up there. Don’t go in the winter unless you like snow. Miserable cold. I’ve been to Little Sahara up around Salt Lake City, they were okay. Lots and lots of small dunes. Tons of witches eyes. They have a couple very long, steep dunes everyone races up. It’s a good time Just a haul getting there and back. You may not run into very many on a busy weekend depending on where you camp. Amargosa dunes are in Nevada about an 1 1/2 north of Vegas. Smaller but fun. Fast riding on the dunes there. It reminds me of dumont before the crowds, BLM and all the fees, etc. I’m supposed to go next year to Glamis, will take the pilot and one other buggy up. Forgot about sand hollow in Utah also. They have a man man made lake there also. Smaller dunes but tons of trail riding. I have a YouTube page with lots of sand dune videos. From my page you can navigate to PPP (propilotpoppers) videos and nickrnr’s. I had a ton of pics but computers crash and I always forget to sav to thumb drives.

When we tented and I rode quads. Gave up both of those. The lake is pretty good sized and you can cool off in it.
