OK, let start this thread way early so everyone can try and start making plans, getting the machines setup, and saving up for fuel costs! lol

I guess we need to deside where and when first.

Where,...lots of areas to ride from Cali, Ut, Az, Nev, Wyo, Col, Id, etc I think a few days at mulitiple site so depending on where people are, they can pick what fits thier schedule best., Or maybe just pick a couple of places and spend a lot longer time there. Personally, I love the big open dunes like Dumont, Killpecker or St Anthonys. St As is probably the best in the country(IMHO), so would prefer to spend a longer time there. Other draw back to several locations is orv tags and rules for each state...in addition to all the traveling fuel.

When...well, I guess it depends on when everyone can make it and where we are. Southern areas can get brutally hot in the summer. St As or Killpecker for example will be be cooler because of elevation and farther north. Late May or early June is when we did the last big ride in 2006 and weather was really nice. St As has swimming areas if it gets too hot in the dunes(I know, I am hinting again) lol.

I can go anywhere or anytime next year so you guys decide...but I would vote for St Anthonys as a riding place as a 1st choice.

Maybe make a poll for when and where???

Gary

YES

St. A for at least a week maybe two

Week of 6/12/2012.....
Mark it down.......

Maybe St. A for a week and Then KillPecker for a week
just backwards from last time...

That puts "Fathers Day" right square in the middle -> It don't get much better than that....

Put the dates on the calendar 6/12 thru 6/24 and will start pinching $1's for gas money.......

Have to bring the Pilots to hoser for quick "high altitude" hoserization before the trip so i may leave a day or 2 ahead of everyone else.

Good catch Turbo but with gas prices heading to $5 a gallon, it may be 2012 before we can afford to drive 1800 miles @ 10mpg.

Wonder if this annoucement will affect Killpecker?

You just never know where I might show up! Trying to save $50 or $60 every month to fund this trip. Time will tell.

Thanks, I'll plan on it, let's hope they don't start one of those big plant renovations about then.

I already have a plot and casket paid for.....so, you'll have to settle for some cigarette butts and ashes, that OK?

I agree with Dennis and H, you NEED to be there one way or another. Elitespecialkid and my son willbe coming up from Cheyenne, sure youare welcome to ride with them(if you can handle the heavy metal music)lol. My machines are always avalible to ride too.

Turbo, we will do a quick weekend ride at Killpecker this summer, I will post up when we go.

The long distance drivers my want to use a huge trailer, and diesel truck, and car pool together to save on gas ! There is room for tents if you want. I slept on an air mattress in the bed of the truck and on the trailer flat bed. I didnt have any skeeter problems...just incase some want to rough it.

Dennis, that would be cool if you have the original turbo Engine in it, have you talked to Mark Welborn who has the red and white one with the true turbo in it? It would be interesting to see the two of them running side by side to see how much, if any, real difference it makes.

BTW, I would love to have a reunion with Ol' blue.

Ok, so the TENTATIVE plan with my crew, Shoubadaba, Turtle-D, and myself, are currently saving money for the trip. Roughly 850 miles one way is going to hit the wallet pretty hard. We plan to take my toy hauler filled with 3 pilots, and stick the RZR-S in the bed of my truck as a back-up vehicle. My goal is to save around $600 for the trip, times 3 that should be enough for food/gas/etc...

Well I'm not going to commit just yet but I'm gonna try to save the cash and make this trip. Maybe there might be something left over from the daughter's wedding expenses next year......yeah right!

Gonna try to take the two Odys and the Honda TRX250EX.

I really would like meet everyone and put faces to the names also!

I've met Turbotexas, Nickrnr, TurtleD and Captain Bruce & his wife Kim. Kind of a short list compared to how many people we have on the board here.

I have been to St Anthony's and there is a nice camp ground right there...I might be interested in going there, let me talk to the Mrs and see what she thinks...it's a bit of a haul from Iowa but let me see how the cash flow is going. What dates are we looking at?

Last time it was a group of Kaw KFX700 riders getting together from all over. I can see if their group is planning a get together there too and we can time it out...
