First time FL250 owner and I have a lot of fun on it. Just had a new intake put on the carb since the other one was cracked and caused way to high of an idle. I am having issues after running it for a while it will bog down and almost quit but never acutally stalls. If I pump the gas it will come back to life but still cuts in and out. Seems like a fuel flow issue but not sure. I also notice a few spots of gas/oil leaking on the ground after running the machine. There is some old gas in the tank from when I purchased it but I have run 3-5 gallons of fresh though it already. It did sit for a while before I purchased it but started right up when I went to take a look.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I would drain out all of the old fuel and inspect the inside of the tank for rust or any loose debris... Then I would replace the fuel filter...
Inspect for any air leaks and replace your air filter... Then take for a test drive, this should fix your problems...

It sounds like you are getting too much fuel in your mixture! Especially if you are seeing fuel on the ground after running.

Did you happen to see if the fuel was draining out of one of the carb hoses? If so the float in your carb may need to be adjusted. I had similar issues and my floats were letting too much fuel in causing it to leak out of the hose on the carb.

Like toby said. Drain all old fuel and change the filter.

Before taking the carb apart, do you have a stock gas tank, vacuum pump and tee check valve or a tank above the Engine?

If it's stock, does it still have the tee check valve in the system as shown in this pic below (the tee valve with the blue zip ties used as clamps at the bottom of pic to the right of center)?

If you're missing the tee valve you're probably over-pressurizing the carb as the valve is designed to send the excess fuel back to the tank.
