I know its been a month, but just saw your post, figured might as well see if i could help. Did you test with a DMM at the head light? See what kind of voltage it is putting out? Remember to check with your ac setting? I'd check continuity through the system, make sure the switch is working properly, make sure wires arn't broken, etc., and if that is all good, i would ask if you have an orignial lighting coil. If so, your coil could be weak/shot, and need a rewind/replacement. You can order a new coil for like $40. you would need to take the old one off the stator plate and solder the new one on. There is not really a whole lot that can go wrong on these, as the pulse coil and exciter coil power the
Engine side, just leaving the lighting coil to produce power for your lights.
