I bought an rebuilt fl250
Engine with a (didn't realize) cr250 barrel and precision water cooled head.
I want to install it with a stock
CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) ignition, carb, and exhaust. I have a bunch of children, grandchildren who ride my five bikes.
Use ranges from an 8 year old who putt putts around, to adults who go flat out. We go to the Oregon dunes.
The Engine had a racing past judging from the racing stator in it. My emphasis is on reliability, rather than performance.
My question is will this Engine install with the stock components, will it be more prone to failure because of higher output?
If I put a stock jug back on the lower end will it fit?
