Does anyone know if you can easily swap the 3 bolt pattern hubs for the 4 bolt pattern hubs on the 77-84 FL250's? Its hard to find 3 bolt rims, but 4 bolt rims are much easier to find for aftermarket gear. Just wondering if its been done of its there is any differences.

I converted my rear from three lug to four lug and was as simple at taking off the nut sliding off the hub from the axle splines and replacing with four lug hub, (can't remember what quad the four lug hubs came from). Front hubs are a different story, but the wheels for the front are hard to find with the offsets anyway, might as well keep them three lug.

Back in the early 80's I used a set of hubs from a Yamaha 125 3 wheeler on the back of my 79 FL250. I cant remember if they were an exact fit but they were still on it when I sold it. I still have an extra set of FL350 rear hubs that may work but I don't know for sure.

Good luck.

I did find that the 1981 and later FL250's have the four lug rear hubs.
