The stuff i used is this stuff by duplicolor. I got it at napa, i think it was $10 or so for a can. I got part number HVP102 - Blue, it is one of their "Tuner" colors. As far as prep work, i just cleaned and made sure the seat was free of any grease or dirt and made sure it was dry, and then just started painting the seat. 1 spray can was enough to get the job done, i think i put 2 coats and then just a little more in the seat area where the vinyl was dry and seemed to be soaking up a little more paint. It seems to be holding up very well, although i havent taken it for a ride longer than around the block a couple times. I have been throwing tools in the seat while working on it and it hasnt scratched, cracked or chipped. If i had another seat i would definitely do it again. Being in the spray can it is quite convenient.
