got the cases split today they were nasty.. heres before and after cleanup. i used a fine wire wheel and a ph stable emulsifier (dawn dish soap). i changed the direction of the spin to avoid gasket surfaces, so the wheel wouldn't wrap around the edge. next victim of my wire wheel will be the tranny. lets just say i wouldn't exactly eat off of it. im not quite sure why i have two threads at the same time... the difference in the two being... this one is for random cosmetic and has to do with the whole machine.. the other is for the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) alone. ok now that i have that figured out in my mind... on to the before and after

Nice progress, the cases look nice. you can use this http://www.plastikote.com/plastikote/au ... =Rebuilder after the cases are clean. I use it on all my honda engines(mostly cars) when the engines are out it gives the look of stock cast aluminum. The dirt doesnt stick to it as easy as the bare metal too. My fl250 motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) is going to get a coat of this when it goes back together. if you leave it looking polished like that it will oxidize and look nasty in no time. this paint is the only way I have found to keep things looking stock and not have to clean it so often. what speed of dial up is it? my phone loaded the page with pics in 20 seconds |

Hi Tim, had any free time to work on your ride? How about some updated pics with the hood and side panels on? I'd like to see how it turned out. Done any riding? |
