I just installed the Ulysse Speedometer app I used on my HTC on my Nexus 7" tablet and will take it for a ride in my truck later to see how it works compared to the HTC Inspire. When I tested it before against my speedo in my truck it was right on the money so I know the app works great, finding a decent tablet with a bright screen you are willing to risk mounted on the dash is the hard part. I have considered covering mine with a plastic flap velcro over it. Once trip through the creek crossing and it would be lights out for the HTC.

I finally got around to figuring out this little Equus model 8068 tachometer for the FL350 Odyssey that has been reading half of what it is supposed to be. Yes I resorted to actually reading the directions and here is what I came up with.

To change modes you just hold the red button on the back of the tachometer while it is off and then power it up. After it powers up just tap the button in the back until the rpm gauge points to the 1000 rpm spot and then turn the tach off again to set the mode. This is assuming you are using the signal wire hard wired into the negative side of the ingition coil method or what Equus refers to as OPTION 1 in the instructions.

Now I fully understand in the directions this would normally be where you would set the tach for a two cylinder vehicle and not a single cylinder but from what I am guessing these tachs were designed to work with a four stroke Engine and not a two stroke and therefore to adjust for the cylinder firing twice as much we need to pick the setting for twice the cylinders as it will naturally cut the reading it is getting in half and display the correct RPM.

Basically we need to trick it into believing that there is a two cylinder Engine firing like a four stroke when in reality there is a single cylinder firing like a normal two stroke.

Mine came setup for a 4 cylinder vehicle and was pointing at the 2000 rpm spot, probably because their clients are mainly rice rockets drivers.

Once again good video. That software you use is too costly for me and probably a big learning curve that i wouldn't have the patience for :-)
As far as who looks better riding, cant tell what either of you look like with all the gear on lol.
But any woman willing to go riding in the rain and mud is a keeper!

I got them from Amazon but yes I think they are the same as those ebay ones you posted.
I have never run the rigid lights, too pricey for me.

The ones I have now are bright as hell and I really like them but I need to adjust them to point up more because they are facing too far down...
They are bright as hell if you want a good spot beam, the upper ones on the roof are a wider beam, also sold through amazon.

My tach was not on the right setting the first few test runs. Since its a two stroke it fires twice as often as the tach was expecting in the directions (duh) :-D It was revving up to about 8000 RPM once I got it setup correctly.

The max speed I saw on the display was 59 MPH but I honestly never found a straight stretch long enough to really open her up before I sold it.

Rear tires are 22" Carlisle Trail Wolf.

I didn't see it, but why did you sell it?

Did you get the wife a replacement ?

Looks like a great place to ride.

I have a 1998 Yamaha Banshee and a 2007 YFZ450.
Originally the Banshee was mine and she rode the YFZ450 but my girlfriend seems to have taken a liking to the Banshee :-)

I loved the Odyssey but I didn't have much room to store it here inside. The buggies are a lot of fun but I do feel more at home in a quad.
I just picked up a Raptor 700 that I am planning on rebuilding this winter. Might get another buggy someday, we will see :-)
