I just need to know how long the bottom bar is from bend to bend and how far it is away from the bottom of the frame in the front and back if it doesn't run flat along the bottom |

You can go here and look at the pictures when you see one with a modified 350 front suspension click on the picture when the page loads click on the "Visit Page" button it will take you to the picture and probably the owner who is building it. https://www.google.com/search?q=350+fro ... l&tbm=isch Try this one too https://www.google.com/search?q=350+fro ... l&tbm=isch |

Can anyone tell me how far away the upper and lower Aarms are apart by the center of the hole so I can get a guesstimate on how to build the lower tube |

the a-arm span is determined by the spindle span so it depends on which spindle you are using. I put the lower subframe bar at inside to inside at 2 1/2 inches |

How wide sidewall to side wall are the tires on these A arm conversions? Some appear to be WAY wider than the back. |

duwem wrote: How wide sidewall to side wall are the tires on these A arm conversions? Some appear to be WAY wider than the back. Personally I would have moved the mounting points for the A arms inboard another 1-1/2 to 2" on each side so its not too wide but that's because my machine width is sensitive to trail and track width for most the places it is used, seems like most the trail width is set by quads that are narrower than the Pilots or Odysseys, but that is changing with the popularity of the side by sides making our trails wider, FL250s were great for trails in the early days since they were so narrow light and nimble |

Find where you mount your uppers first, if you don't plan on the uppers being any narrower than the stock frame, your bottoms will be set off of them and determined for you . Mine are about 2 inches inboard roughly. Make sure if you are using adjustable upper and/or lower ball joints that you have them adjusted neutral ( in the middle of their adjustment range). Remember that the lower arm is longer , not sure how much but its a good place to start. |

Good to know I'm running stock 250r A arms and I am going to set the front up so the outside of the front rim matches the out side of the rear or attempt to get it as close as possible .I don't really care for the look of the front end sticking out a couple inches |

duwem wrote: How wide sidewall to side wall are the tires on these A arm conversions? Some appear to be WAY wider than the back. I used all the stock fl350 spindles and brakes and my width in the front side wall to sidewall is 59 inches. its the same as the rear |

I think I might just use stock Fl spindles what is your measurement from the lower aarm to the top is it the same length as the spindle |

Post subject: | Re: trx a arm conversion help |
now to use the stock fl350 spindles you have to modify them so they are the same left and right. right now they do not match. Where the tie rod mounts is different left to right |

nope cut the original mount off and weld a new one onto both spindles and then drill them to be the exact same |
