I got out in the shop this afternoon and started the assembly (dry) got the front end lined up like I want, just the j-arm pivot points. The way it looks I should be gaining about 6-1/4" but I still have the shocks to preload and connect. But the next thing to do is make the front braces and the rear braces built and installed.

File comment: It will be changed up in the center more than likely.

I got the front shocks relocated and the brackets tacked in place today. Maybe the new tubing will be in tomorrow and then I can replace the sacrificial tubing across the bottom front. But the shocks are working out great.

My tubing came in late yesterday so I got to start on the front lower finish of the pivot. I got it layed out and some welded. I haven't welded it in place yet, but I still have to make the rear part of the bracing.

I got to work on the front end today. I still have to install a couple of bars and make new tie rods, but a lot closer to riding maybe tomorrow. Of course I still have a lot to clean up and prime and paint. A gusset hear and there and I think that will do it. I think I am going to build a new front bumper, does anybody have any good ideas for a front bumper? Any way here are a couple of pics. I have gained 6 1/2" ground clearance from the bottom of the frame and the ground.

Ok test road it today and it works perfect. I need to alien the front end better, it is very touchy but I did replace the outer ball joints and inner hiems joints. I hit a few jumps and came off of about a three feet drop off. I have no Bump Steer or offset when a bump is hit. I still have a couple of clean up areas and then to paint it. But it is working great. Next project will be to install the disk brakes on it.

Oh and right in the middle of all of this my mig. welder went out on me and had to get a new one. Once I kind of got used to it I really like it. I bought a Lincoln 180 pro series, I can use a spool gun with it.

The lift worked great, it steers very tight compared to before but I did replace some of the components. I could tell a lot of difference on the trails. ie I went over places that before I had to slow down for or go around due to bottom clearance. I think this was my best bet for what I needed in the type of riding that I do. Tight curvy trails in heavy wooded areas. (I give it a 10) Thanks Billy
