ok. i have been reviewing the wiring and with some help from nitrosport i "think" that i have it figured out.

I am using a 4 wire skidoo regulator with red, green, yellow, and black wires. I have been looking at a wiring diagram from a 1996 skidoo formula SS with a battery and electric start as well as the the Pilot diagram.

I will be removing the pilot regulator and CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition). The rest of the pilot harness will be reused.

Ok so here is my wiring plan.

1. Rotax regulator red wire to 12v+ in run which would be the black wire at the pilot regulator or you could use the pilot black & white wire to the pilot CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition)
2. Rotax regulator Yellow wire to yellow wire on rotax stator
3. rotax regulator green wire to yellow wire on rotax stator

4. rotax CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) black & white wire to ground to kill the Engine. To do this you could used a relay with 87/87a contacts.

The rotax CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) must generate its own power through the cranking process.

I plan to use the pilot temperature switch to ground the relay to turn my fan on.
I plan to use the fuel level light as a oil level light off the oil tank.

So have i missed anything?

Did this work for you as I just purchased the Farr 583 kit for my pilot and the wiring is a big question?

Well parts are starting to come in so I will start a build thread about it. I will keep an updated spread sheet with parts and prices as I go for those interested in it.

The victim is a nice running 89 pilot that I bought last month with works shocks, power bros pipe, power block clutch, and ATVR build Engine. it really runs great with no issues but I want more grunt out of it.

I ordered the Farr offroad kit for the Engine and mount. part of it came in today. the Engine is on the way. it will be .020 on a fresh bore.

I just received my Farr kit the other day but mine is the 583 kit. Looks like he sent me the same carbs and injection unit. How can I tell if it's the right set up for a 583 and not a 670 set up and how do you connect everything like fuel lines and how do I tell what carb goes on what side as I heard they are jetted differently?

583 & 670 carbs are the same and jetted the same. I would tear the carbs apart and inspect the diaphragms and jets before I put them on.
