Ive posted here a couple of times, i acquired my ody in a trade, i traded my kx250 for it. When i got it, it was already modified and stretched . It had a old hondamatic 750cc bike motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) that just wasn't cutting it for me so i had stripped it all down wanting to put a gsxr in it but never got around to it. a year has past by and im finally motivated to work on it. Well plans have changed and im making a 2 seater based off the frame with a b20 vtec setup as a power plant.....call me crazy. ive been working on it as much as i can and making progress, if you guys have ideas or opinions on something let me know, i could use the help. it wont be the nicest build but hey for being 19 and doing all the work myself im not doing to bad. Hopefully i can be done before the season starts so i can make it out to glamis...Heres my progress so far, lots of work to do.

Oooooooooooooooh. That's a very serious Engine there and it requires REAL tubing and welding skills. Just my opinion. |

I second what CO said and I think it's an awful lot of Engine but if someone doesn't try it we will never know. May be the best power plant to date for that application. |

Holy powerplant, Batman! With that much power and torque, I'd pretty much ditch all the factory tubing and go full-on custom chromoly chassis. Reference a 2-seater sandrail in regards to the tube size, layout, etc. When you power-up like this, everything around it gets more complicated and expensive. |

I know a couple fabricators so I can ask em for there input if I need to, he built my uncles 4 seater with a j35 v6 but he's using a bus trans with it. i don't think my set up is to crazy but it sure damn will be pretty fast, the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) isn't stock lol. I am going to need to get some extended axles made up. as of right now i need to brace the whole rear end and make my way to the front.

Projects of this size can get complicated and expensive quick, but if pulled off can usually be pretty sweet. Doing a custom chassis and not dealing with the factory layouts may be a little less frustrating. Look at plans online for smaller sandrails, and if you are good with CAD, you can create the frame in 3D and have the tubing cnc bent and coped. Then all you need to do is build jigs and weld. Since we had the tubes already bent and coped, welding only took a few days. Attachment:
