Ok well it's been a fat min since ive posted but ive done a ton of work on the challenger. When I left off I had just purchased my challenger fl250. First thing I did was strip everything off it to paint it and assess it. It had a modified FL250 bottom end built to fit a YZ250 top end by JR racing. The bottom end was seized up and I tried extremely hard to unseize but couldn't even separate the bottom end cases. I eventually snapped off a clutch bolt in it by trying to use a wrench and breaker bar to rotate the crank and break it free. After that I gave up on it. It was a shame to see it go but I eventually decided to sell it to get some cash for some other parts. I bought a stock Fl250 bottom end and a cr250 top end as a temporary Engine. I got a water cooled head hooked up to banshee radiator for it and and aftermarket reed cage hooked up on a 37mm kehin. I had some major headache with the wiring, and after months of messing it with it got a new wiring harness which solved all my problems. I also spent some time redoing the wiring harness to accept the
goki electric start as well as a voltage
rectifier to charge the battery and lights and 12 volt accessories. So far I am working on a conversion to a cr500 conversion on a modified bottom end.
