Here is the start of my project. Picked up the first batch of parts from the powder coater. My plan is to set up an assembly line and document my progress over all and with sub-assemblies. This pic was from awhile ago. I'm going to catch up with my posts.

I was able to source new ball joint boot rubber from a Honda JDM car. It is the same part number as the NLA Odyssey ones. I got them from the UK.

I stripped down my air guides, reconditioned the rubber, powder coated the metal and re-riveted them back together.

Very Very Nice You're gona give CurtisR401 a run for his money. It's gona be a toss up for first place but I think you got it. Since you got all NOS stuff that thing should be in a show room. Contact Honda. I bet they pay the most. CO |

Yup good call! I've got the manual and it indicates that and torque spec. I had to source a 36mm wrench that would allow me to get the torque wrench at 90⁰ to properly seat it. Also manual says to use motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) oil on the lock nuts that hold the brake disc on. I'm following manual religiously on wear specs, torque, lube and threadlocker application.

Tested then polished the shock bodies, powder coated the springs and installed new bump stops. The only thing that bothers me is the plastic spacers between shock bodies and springs are a little rough in a couple spots, not perfect but I can't find any perfect ones.

Test fitting parts. It's like you build it 3 times by the time you're done. Assemble, discover an issue, take apart, fix, test fit, disassemble then reassemble with proper fasteners, lube, locktite and torque.
