Here's a couple pics for Hoser of the rack I made to put on my 20' deckover Equiptment trailer. Made it way heavy duty, prolly too heavy for 2 ATV's. It's 2" square tube .250 thick. Dimensions are 96"X96"X50". It will set on the front part of trailer so I can load 2 ATV's on it. Height was an issue. The trailer deck is 30" off the ground, the platform is 50", and the ATV's going on it are 46", giving an approx clearance of 10'6" on a good day.I plan on allowing myself at least 11' so I don't loose any handlebars off the second story, heh. Next project will be to fiqure out how to get the ATV's up there without killing myself. The 6' ramps I have are not going to cut it. I set them up to check the angle and its way to steep to ride up. I could winch them up, or use 2 sets of ramps with a sturdy (read: wont slip off) platform in between(Like a 2' stool of sorts). More on that later. Just watching the paint dry now so I can attach the plywood.

Mike

It works! Well you cant really ride the machines all the way up the ramp, but with a helper holding a strap on top to keep the front end down we made it. Unloading is much easier using the same method. Handlebars of the 400ex are 10' 9" off the ground. There is still some extra room on the rack for spare tires or fuel, etc.. Took it for a little run around town, seems to behave well. Tongue weight doesn't appear to be a problem, as it squats the truck a heck of alot less than it does with the excavator on, heh.

One sweet set up Mike. You may need a bigger truck to carry all the riders now :-)
