Post subject:  Pilot restoration

hi, its been a while but i have had alot of family stuff going on but that is all sorted now, so i have turned my attention back to the pilot. After alot of considering i decided to go with the standard Engine as if i ever wanted to sell it i feel it would have more worth standard (well nearly).

I have stripped her out and i had the frame sent of for sandblasting and powder coating, i decided to go with a hammered silver finnish, i spoke to the fella that is doing it today and he said it looks really good (lets hope) i should be receiving the frame back in the next few days so i can start with the rebuilding proccess.

i have posted up some pictures of it at being stripped, i did have some of it before it was stripped but i cant seem to find them. I will post some of the frame when i get it back and some of the rebuilding at different stages.

Looks like your going to be busy but a ground up resto is the way to go once done you know what you have, what are the plans for the Engine?

I am no expert on Pilot sales but I would guess you just knocked a 1000 bux off the resale value by painting the frame anything but Honda red.

Just noticed the axles are still in the trans I would start the removal process ASAP start by soaking them with PB Blaster.
