Just joined here to get the lowdown on these ancient Honda ATV/buggies. :-)

Purchased a 99% complete but derelict FL250 from a guy off Letgo. Recoil rope is nonexistent so it's unknown if the Engine is trash at this point but I knew what the Ody was and that it's the Holy Grail of all ATVs and off-road buggies. Didn't pay too much either so that was key.

Came with two spare Engine blocks, one slightly worse than the other (more exposed to the elements). It had to be dragged onto my trailer as the rear brake disc and caliper was seized or "one with each other". Might be more to it than that.

Thanks for having me.

Well fancy that! I was just out to see him last weekend :-)

Can't wait to see what your 250 turns into!

Welcome again!

Welcome aboard. There's parts out there to rebuild the pull start on these machines. Electric starts are out there albeit rare as heck.

Let us know if you have questions, and post pictures!

Before you go buying pull start stuff, can you turn the Engine over by hand? Is it stuck? Does it have compression? Easy to check by hand
