I opened up the map and noticed the Valley of Fire park near Logandale. Several years ago I got my first taste of SAND here and the rest is "History"
http://www.offroadadventureguide.com/Tr ... s_Map.html
I was laid over near there and rented an ATV from the above link. Me and a guide went on a ride for several hours and it included desert trails and Mining roads, and the prettiestt sand I have ever seen... Almost a pink color The dunes had some trails ie. little sahara's in Ok and some major hill climbs too!!! I was on a Bombadier outlander 4x4 400cc with stock tires and still had a blast...
You would enjoy this spot, and do not require a Guide if you go...

Of the two I would like to go back to the logandale area just a bit cleaner and further away from it all.. The dunes were better there also!!!
