Take a free ride on 60,000 acres of open public land. This trail blazer's paradise is much larger than nearby Jawbone Canyon and Dove Springs, but it is also much less to offer. No services, no people, no shade, no water, and frankly, not much in the way of interesting terrain. You can, however, ride to the town of Johannesburg (south approx 5 miles) and get food and gas, and even ride up to the local bar. What you do after that is your business. You'll find wild horse & burrow corrals to the north, and the Trona Pinnacles to the northeast are worth seeing. There will be no crowds, so you can let it all hang out, but beware the clearly marked military base to the east. They don't take kindly to unannounced visitors.
