Will the thinner material be a problem when you're roosted by a few rocks?

Nothing beats 1/4 plate steel!

The lexan was is tough enough to handle the crease along the top edge. It was bent on a sheetmetal brake!

I've got Redrider Lexan Panel on my Pilot too. I like it. It's a pain to clean the foot tub if you drag a lot of mud into it because the panel is in the way. But, it does keep 99% of mother nature off you.

On airplanes we use these quick release screws that I'm going to try. Just half a turn and the panel will come off. I recall they're called a Southcal stud.

Hey PH, nice decals on the hood.....lol.

ON my first hood I used lexan also. Heated it and bent it with a hot air gun.
Painted the inside.

Nice hoods everyone has made.

what about the addition of quick release bolts like Ramjet suggests but also a pair of small heavy duty hinges so the hood would flip up for easier cleaning ?

When I wash my Pilot I wash it top side and bottom side, I stand it up like seen in
these pictures http://pilotodyssey.com/PO/viewtopi ... light=skid
washing the inside of the tub is not a problem gravity does all the work, I see
no need for quick fasteners to remove the tub, not that they cant be used,
quick release is always good, I would like to see the ones Ramjet is
talking about.

I will have to see what I can do, I am out of aluminum that's why I was trying to see
if their was any intrest in them, I will be buying a sheet of aluminum for other
things but if their is enough intrest I will get a extra sheet for the hoods and
skids.
