Maybe someone has documented this some place else but I couldn't find it so here it is Honda FL400 clutch puller.

The bolt I used is a 14mm 1.5 pitch thread 59mm long or 2.32" long
The pusher pin I used is .400 in diameter or 10.18mm and its 4.845 long or 123mm long for you metric fans.

Thanks, would that happen to be my clutch?

Yeah how could you tell? :-)

I went through all my clutch stuff and could not find the bolt, I found a bolt in my spare metric bolt box but it was only threaded about 1/2" so I got out the metric die and threaded it all the way up.

I had to remove the outer cover because the socket would hit on it, if I had a bolt 4" longer I could have left the cover on...

I looked in both Home Depot and Lowes for a M14x1.5 metric bolt with no luck. The biggest they had was M12 and the biggest I had in my metric bolt box was M10. The next time I see a good metric bolt selection in a hardware store I will get several and hold on to them for occassions like this. I hope the rest of the Engine tear down goes as easy.

I never thought of Napa I will see if they have a longer one so I don't need to remove the outer cover in the future.

Most every one I've been to has a whole wall of nut and bolt bins in the back room.

Anyone ever notice the error in the ATV Racing kit sheet diagram?
They state 14 x 1.25.

I just looked at the die I used to chase the bolt and it says 1.5 you think the die might be labeled wrong? It would be nice if we could double verify this so we know what is right...

The threads in their diagram are reversed too.

I went out and bought a thread gauge and that was when I discovered my reading to be diff to the ATV Kit.
Mine came out at 1.5

It came warped- although I didn't notice it at first. It was a brand new powerbloc from ATVR that had to be machined on the inner face to clear the starter/cases.

I talked to Neil and he told me that I can take off the outer part of the stock clutch (cover) and use the powerbloc pusher and a 14mm 1.5pitch bolt to pull the stock clutch. I'll see if it fits
-----------------
Even here it states from Neil "1.5 pitch."

I have a big collection of used metric hardware that I have gathered from working at a Toyota only salvage yard. A lot of it is ungraded but suspension & Engine hardware isusually heavyduty.I have used a lot of it working on my 350. They use the same thread pitch a lot. If anybody is looking for anything specific let me know, I'll see what I've got.I'll check for the bolt for clutch removal.Does it need to have threads for the entire length?

The post should be edited, as the bolt length will bottom out, and require an amazingly greasey removal of clutch cover. another 1 inch of thread on the bolt would save you from a needless grease bomb that occurs when you take the clutch cover off.

Good advice I guess I never had any problem with the "grease bomb" thing but I knew it was under spring pressure before I removed the bolts, I will keep my eye out for a longer bolt for use in the future the bolt in the picture is one I found in my spare bolts pile, getting metric bolts here is pretty much find them online then order them paying 5-10 bux for shipping and handling for ONE bolt.
