The recoil that came with my 440 Engine is from a snowmobile Engine for the
most part under the hood of a sled is pretty clean, keeping sand mud and dirt
out is not a issue, I welded on a short stub of pipe onto the recoil housing so
I could slide a heater hose over it to seal it up some.

I took another piece of pipe and welded it to flat stock and
bolted it to the frame, another short piece of heater hose
goes between the tube and the recoil handel

How's it start? Lot of power needed to pull it?

The Drak is hard to when you first pull on it I guess from initial compression but then it eases up a little.

No E start pull only, I don't think it is hard to pull, still don't have the cold starting
figured out yet, gotta rig up the choke cable and learn to start it... Had it down
to 2-3 pulls when cold then messed with the pipe and carb so it is gone hehe
starts with a 1/2 pull when Engine is warm.
