What's wrong with it?

They all use the same coil for the ignition, lighting coils differ from year to year, but the ignition coil has always been available as one size fits all.

the bolt holes for the points stator and CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) are different

points bolt pattern 52mm

CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) bolt pattern is 60mm

I haven't had the two side by side in a decade, so you may be right.

Never measured them, but they've been sold that way by everyone for years.

Did you send an email to sledpartsguy? He's a good guy, he may correct his auction and not take the "the supplier's list says it will fit so it will" tack........

there used to be a brake pad guy that sold two sets of 250 pads together because the parts suppliers listed them for the front and there's two wheels so there "has" to be two sets. Was a good deal at the time because he only charge 20 bux for them.
