Statewide Motorized Trail System NV

Unlike California, gas is the determining factor in Nevada. Rather than a numbered orthaginal sytem like the Interstate Highways and the CA SMTS, this system goes from gas to gas which are much farther apart in Nevada. Many of the Gas Waypoints have phone numbers if you open them. If it has phone number, you should call ahead to make sure they have gas or are even open.

Looks like some trails to check out in the future, anybody rode any of these trails?

Yes, I have ridden the trails out around the Fallon Nevada area.

There are thousands of miles of rideable roads that aren't even on the map, no gas stations or even cell phone reception.

It all depends on how well you can handle the heat or cold for that matter.

I usually ride all spring summer and fall. Spring time you have to deal with patches of snow on the north facing mountains and a little bit of water and mud everywhere else. Summer of course you're dealing with the heat (figure the mid to high 90's with humidity down in the teens). Fall is my favorite time of the year as the temperatures are nice and there is no dealing with the hot temperatures or the snow or mud.
