Sweet sounding!

Was the Engine up to full temp during the video capture?

Liquid temp was 135degF so it was close. I believe snowmobile engines run on the cooler side anyhow. It does sound pretty good.

Congrats on getting your ride going.
on your fuel issue, as others have stated, get yourself a fuel rated normally closed solenoid valve, make sure the orifice is large enough as not to restrict your max fuel flow. as hoser stated, use a relay energized with the key switch so key on, solenoid is energized.
second note, beware of using a K&N filter, my experience is that is will let sand through.

Kuma,
I have been looking into the solenoid valve but for now I have been conscious about turning it off when it’s not running and the issue is gone for now. I have also been wondering if this was due to the carburetor float level not being set properly when I first started it, Causing the bowls to overfill. Do you have a suggestion on a different style filter? I don’t do much sand riding, but I would like to keep the intake system as clean as possible.

I got some fenders on it and it’s looking like a pilot again. Definitely need some new rear tires. The original ones that are on it have good tread and are not dry rotted but the rubber is quite hard and I’m spinning the wheels quite a bit on acceleration. Also, my belly pan skid plate won’t work with the nerf bars so I’ll have to modify it at some point. I’ll be taking it up to New Hampshire this weekend and will put it to the test.

looks great, wish I could afford new plastic
I use a 2 stage UNI filter with an oiled filter skin over the top, I use FFT oil on the UNI and K&N oil on the skin, the skin is a fabric not the nylon outer wear.

I ride only in the sand and use the Uni 2 stage foam filters oiled up with the Outerwear sleeve and haven't had any issues with crap getting into the carbs. I don't oil the Outwear sleeve though but it does pick up quite a bit of oil from just lying over the foam filters - sand will stick to them quite a bit. I will usually clean them every 3rd ride or so.

Thanks guys! I will be looking into changing it out for a uni filter and use an outerwear as well. I had a great time riding up in NH over the weekend. What a fun machine and the power steering makes it effortless for long rides. The only thing I would like to change is the muffler. This thing is obnoxiously loud and my ears were ringing. Anyone else using a different style muffler?

I’ll be working on posting some electrical wire diagrams in the next week or so.

I wear earplugs whenever I ride in my Rotax machines.
The only option for a muffler that would be quiet enough to ride without earplugs would probably be a stock Ski-doo muffler.
I briefly rode in a very nice FL350 build that had a Rotax 583 with a stock Ski-doo muffler and it was quiet enough to ride without any earplugs.

That’s kind of what I was thinking with the stock ski-doo muffler. I’ll have to take some measurements and see if I can fit it, possibly behind the rear bumper.

I have ~3" dia X ~10" long silencer, with a fresh pack, its not too bad but I am also always using a helmet, if ever checked for noise, not sure if I would pass the 98 db, not an issue where I ride.
