There was no hourmeter on it...so time is truly an unknown. The Engine(best said) had gobs of time on it and almost all at an MX track being abused and redlined lol. The service limits I will have to check into for an answer on chain wear...I have religiously replaced a chain every season due to the fact that we race...and rev...and just push them silly. Engine builders are doing, welding, drill and pin?
Loctite makes a retainer you use on assembled parts or assembled fasteners you could add to the new cam cant see where it would hurt anything, you just apply and it will wick into the joint no matter how tight the tolerance.
