Its not a scam, he is a real life a$$hole. I bought an aftermarket pipe off of him via ebay. Last time I would buy anything from him. He sold a pipe that belonged in the garbage. Evidently he and Randy know each other pretty well and Randy tried to fix the problem, but I declined on his offer since he isnt the one selling pure junk.

here are some pics of the pipe after I got it. I ended up giving it away to someone who needed a pipe, I had planned on cutting it up and trashing it since that is where it belonged.

File comment: Thsi is the pic of the pipe he used on ebay. Not a good pic, but I think done deliberately to keep from showing how bad it really is

hillside discount, make 100% on my money, seems to be the norm now days.

I sent this guy an email last year about the same thing! He was selling parts "as a great deal" at substantially more than you could buy them elsewhere. I recently purchased a "NEW" FL250 steering wheel cover from him, just to see if it is worth the money he's asking since they appear to be discontinued from Honda. He says in his ad that they cost him a good deal of money to "reproduce". Well, I can tell you that they are "CRAP".

He took and old cracked, gouged and well beaten cover and used it as a prototype for the mold and didn't even bother to have the casting flaws removed before they started production! The result looks like "SHIT"! The brand new piece has so many imperfections it's unreal!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... eName=WDVW

This guy has been around for a long time, as far as I know this is the same guy from Bakersfield that someone was looking for recently. He's apparently turned to making a profit at any cost......

So far no reply to my request for a refund.

If I can remember I'll take some close up pics of it tonight and post them.

I have had good experiences with this guy in the past (2 years or more ago) got a bunch of NOS light and on-off switches from him and a couple of NOS durablue racing axles, his email is garniff@aol.com. I don't know why he's recently started taking new Honda parts and marking them up so high, the only reason seems to be to make a profit off the unknowing FL250 users.

As PT Barnum said "there's a sucker born every day" and this guy appears to want to find them all on Ebay! Unfortunately, his ratings do not reflect any major problem, so folks are happy with overpaying.

I'm still trying to figure out the deal with the $117 FL350 lower shock bolt from tntdealz I posted about on this board about a month ago. http://pilotodyssey.com/PO/viewtopic.php?t=1131

My current search pattern starts with Odyssey Salvage, then ServiceHonda, then Ebay as a last resort. I haven't tried Hillside yet, but they seem to have a good reputation.

Nobody is ever happy with over paying once they find out someone sold them
parts for 2x more than they can get them for.. Some of us do our best to
tell others about the deals we have setup, perhaps it is time to sell some more
PilotOdyssey.com stickers on ebay to get their attention? Too bad you cant
simply just email the guys bidding with a link to my web page or something like "http://pilotodyssey.com dunno if you know about us were a small group on the
web with the same interest"

I have no idea about the over priced bolt maybe it was his friends bidding trying
to run it up and get others to bid on it ?

Integrity : Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code...

Integrity is something people cant take from you, you have to give it away,
its "funny" watching people give theirs away scratching to make a few bux
off his fellow man, Ebay has stripped the integrity from many!

Here's the reply I got back:
(He seemed to think I threatened him, I don't see it, but I do see him threatening me about giving negative feedback). I didn't have time to get the pics.

>You asked:
>"OK, I bought this expecting something quite a bit better than what I got. The least you could
>have done was to remove the casting flaws before you went into production. It looks like crap! I
>want my money back, including shipping. This is not what you're advertising!"
>
>I have several people who have bought the covers, and were very happy, which you can see by
>the feedback they left. You are the only one who has complained !! I did the best that I could, by
>copying the best cover that I had. I am not a profesional at making platic copies, so don't tell
>me how to make parts, unless you want to make them yourself. I do not like the tone of your
>email, and I will not respond to to any angry emails, or threats. I will not return one dime of
>your money, and I will leave you negative feedback, if you email in this tone again. I am very
>easy to get along with, but I will treat you the same way you treat me. I have plenty of people
>who want these covers, so lets get back on the right foot. I know that I can not make everyone
>happy, so send the cover back. I will refund your money, after I receive the cover back and
>inspect it, and you leave positive feedback for me. If the cover is in good condition, I will refund
>your money, & leave positive feedback for you

My biggest problem with what I received is that he states that this part is required if you're doing a restoration. I agree, if it looked anything like a "NEW" part, but it doesn't.

He seems awful concerned about his feed back or how he is perceived in public
but don't hesitate to but new parts then double the price and sell to the
unknowing on ebay. LMAO

I like how he say's These guys are all jerks !
I don't think they will be seeing much more for money once this gets around.
seems they are in it only for the money and don't care one way or another.
wonder if they even own a pilot or oddy.

I must really be slow, I just noticed this about this guy.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... ename=WDVW

He's selling them in a lot of three, grossly overpriced (in my opinion) and to top it off you're only supposed to use two of them in the front of the Engine cradle, won't work at all in the rear.

If this guy has been doing this for so many years, how is it he doesn't know this?

He is a scam artist you think he is buying them from hillside with our discount and selling on ebay?

What is his real name?

You can buy 3 of them from service honda for $39.45 (part number 50221-950-000)
They are not rare or hard to find hah its only 20 bux profit? Funny now IRS wants
their cut of the ebay pie

http://news.search.yahoo.com/news/searc ... &n=10&fl=0

I bet Ebay keeps the perfect paper trail for the IRS when they audit people too?

His real name is Derek Tisinger, he's in Bakersfield I believe.

Up until he started doing this he seemed like a good guy.

Oh yeah they are all good guys on day one, they start out with good intentions, I can
name about 6 guys that fall into the same category, greed is a powerful drug, its like
being hooked on crack.

I said this before earlier in this post, for those that might have missed it here it is again.

Anybody know this mutt?
Have his email address?
Perhaps someone can send him a link to my web page?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... gory=43973

"PLASTIC FOR PILOTS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM HONDA. THIS FENDER HAS ONLY BEEN REMOVED FROM THE PACKAGE FOR THIS PICTURE. THIS COULD BE ONE OF THE LAST CHANCES TO PUT NEW PLASTIC ON YOUR PILOT."

No longer available? Lier! Service Honda the fender cost $122.36

Check out the other stuff he is selling.

"Positive Feedback: 99.0%" with a feedback that high using others analogy
that makes it ok haha

I asked him why three when you only need two and his response was:

"What are you? The eBay Odyssey NAZI?"

I wonder if I can change my eBay name to that?

Don't think I need all of the flak associated with it though......

IMO

That comment sounds like it came from inside our group!

If he is doing nothing wrong why he getting mad for you asking questions?

Perhaps if enough people asked him questions he would straighten up and fly right?
