Hi,

I took apart one of my starters and I noticed the inside metal is peeling away. There were many little particles.

Any way to fix this?

Thanks

Ahh ok dummy me heh

So I take it its not the armature rubbing on the metal?

Some sort of plating gone bad?

Metal has been damaged by electrical current?

Steel made in china heh?

We may never know where the origin of this occured.

I'll take close up pics of the stator and see the scoring.
As I recall It didn't look as bad as the starter housing does.
