I have been reading/learning for a while now but this is my first post.I bought a 250 awhile ago that had the remains of a Klemm Research sticker on the silencer.Does anybody know what all Klemm offered for this machine? When I got it it had a liquid cooled head,non-stock pipe & silencer a taller air box lid & a swaybar on the front. This thing is extremely loud but it doesn't look like a DG pipe or silencer like in the pictures I've seen here.Could somebody measure the length of the FMF QII silencers or the other universal FMF silencer? My pipe is pointing straight back where it meets the silencer so I would have to have room to add a 90' bend to the front of the silencer. Also it has a Mikuni carb,I think a 38mm TM.It at least needs a rebuild.I am think of replacing it instead with something a little smaller.I am interested in reliability more than all out performance.Any recommendations?
Thanks
Shubey

post a pic i would be interested in the cylinder??? stock or cr250.

if you want quite we might trade stock pipe with baffel for your pipe?
if you want a smaller carb we might trade mikuni 34mm for 38?

I believe Kleem Research made the liq head of course, a side mounted radiator with a large air scoop to direct air to it, exhaust pipes, and an air box lid with a large wire screened scoop facing front or back. that's all I know of, but could be more.

Sorry it took so long to post pics.I do have the side mounted rad but there was no scoop on it when I got it.The air box lid was modified by the previous owner.

Yep That looks like my pipe and silencer.
The Head is a Rand's
Air filter top and Is also a kleem Don't know to much about the radiator
But seems nuke em called it.
I had to weld another mounting tab on the top of my pipe to make it more stable.
I will get some pix tomorrow.

The FMF Q silencer will be longer than that pipe and will probably hit on the frame, I am sure you can get inventive and make something work.

Stugots, Are you currently running that pipe & if so is it incredibly loud? It doesn't look like it can be repacked or at least wasn't made to be repacked.
Thanks
Shubey

Yes it is loud.
I had a answer on it before that clogged up so I put this one back on.
I am going to put the fmf Q on it to quit it up.
Ya Hoser I will find a way to make it work. that's half the fun I will keep you up dated. I have a friend that works for fmf and I am waiting to see what kind of deal he can get me.

Hey Stugots,
You should see if your friend could get FMF to make us a couple of prototype silencers & we could test them for free for them.Like that will happen.
Thanks

Yeah I agree it would be nice if FMF would make them for the 250 350 and
Pilot so we didnt have to mod them to fit.
