Got alittle bored today so I took a little trip to Kermit Texas. Kermit is near the south east corner of New Mexico. right in the little corner between the Panhandle, and west Texas. It was a neat LITTLE place with only one parking lot that I could find. I am glad it was a Monday, thus it wasn't very crowded... I was able to get the big toyhauler in with out any trouble. Never on a week end though... It is about 400 miles from my house, so I wanted to check it out while I was in the area. lots of small medium sized dunes, nothing like Glamis, but more like Little Sahara in OK. It rained alot and the sand was good and wet. That was the first time I have rode in the wet stuff and it wasn't so bad... I used alot of fuel real quick...(Buying new tank!!!) Met some guy's with the bigger buggies and they were nice enough to let me tag along... I was happy with how well the ody kept up, of course I was W.O.T. Alot of the times they were just cruising... But it was good to follow someone who knew there way around!!!

David, Thanks for the report! I had never heard of that place, how large is it? I always thought the 'panhandle' is the part of Texas that goes north and is between Oklahoma and New Mexico, is it also the area in the west that goes under New Mexico? Or, am I confused on where this is located?

Yes the panhandle is Lubbock Ammarillo etc. between OK and NM...
In the South east corner of New Mexico just south of this corner is where this place is at... Under new mexico is west texas...
