I found a FREE image resizer it runs with JAVA so you need JAVA installed, download then double click on the Jpeg_Resizer_5.jar file

Download link

http://superb-east.dl.sourceforge.net/s ... izer_5.jar
Project link
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jpg-resizer/

I did the drag and drop thing and did 10 pictures in one drag and drop, you might want to try a few at a time to see how your system reacts, when I did 10 the computer bog down for a min heh

As always backup your pictures so you have copies of the originals as you play.

Here is another FREE image resizer and a Tutorial to teach you how to use it.

Download the program here ---> http://www.irfanview.com/

The Tutorial -----> http://coppermine-gallery.net/tutorial/irfanview1.php

This is about as easy as it gets, looks complicated but once you have done it a few times its second hand...

For XP users here is a fast FREE simple resizer...

You can find it on this page
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... rtoys.mspx

Its about 1/2 way down the page .

Image Resizer

This PowerToy enables you to resize one or many image files with a right-click.

Or use this link to download.

http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... ySetup.exe

Install...

Go to the folder you keep your pics in and open the folder....

Select the pictures you want to resize....

Right click on the pictures you have selected, look for "Resize Pictures" on the menu and click it.

I am sure you can figure it out from their...

Be sure to check out the "Advanced" options.

Well my laptop uses the shitty VISTA and being that the people at microsoft are stuipd they made the picture resizer that works perfectly in XP NOT work in VISTA go figure huh a feature I like and they disable it in VISTA if they had anybody smart working for them they would have made the XP picture resizer add on for XP a standard program in VISTA....

SO I found this as a replacement
http://blogs.msdn.com/cumgranosalis/pag ... -page.aspx

That link says it has moved here I am including all links in case something changes in the future
http://prishcom.spaces.live.com/blog/cn ... !128.entry

Download page for the 32 bit version
http://cid-6a6a204abdf15411.skydrive.li ... |_2519.msi

64 bit version

http://cid-6a6a204abdf15411.skydrive.li ... |_2519.msi

It seems to work good so enjoy...

If you find something better please let us know.

Having trouble with the links here try this page they will work

PLEASE use the picture resizer, here is an example.

I downloaded 63 pictures from this site that were recently uploaded they totaled 43 megs I then used the Windows XP resizer thingie and resized them to 800x600 now those 63 pictures are 5.5 megs ....

Whats this mean, FASTER webpage loading, this also just saved TurboTexas and others like him using dialup speed whilst on the road viewing this site about 45 minutes of downloading, if your being charged by bytes their is a huge savings.

I will let Sunblock give the details on how it helps the server.

Thanks
