The frame

The front suspension trailing (J) arms should be gusseted to prevent them from bending from a hard hit.  The front suspension axle needs to be reinforced with a tube of chromoly fitted inside.  Adding a metal plate or washers to the four bolts that hold the chaincase on will prevent it from elongating the stock mounting holes and pulling through.

  Power train

The ‘77-81 odyssey used a weaker chain in the chaincase so I replaced it with a stronger chain from a ‘82-84.  My odyssey had a powerbloc drive clutch on it when I bought it and only required lightening the weights to make it work well with the high-revving cr.  The driven clutch cam was replaced with a 32degree cam for improved backshift under power.  Drive belt options are the Dayco MAX (#1110) and GooodYear Powerstreak which is a better high performance belt.  As for rims, ITP makes strong, 1-piece replacements for the stock 2-piece units.
